New Website!!!!!!

That's right. We have a new website!!! It still needs work and it is still slowly coming along, but I have one! The bones are all there, now to make updates to it. I am hoping to have it complete before December 1st, but we will see. WEBSITE!!!

Right now we are working on updating the blog!! I would love to create a website but I don't think I am at the level to have a website, especially since I am not breeding yet.

It's Been A While!

It has been a while since I last posted. Sorry!!! Now for an update.

Andy- What can I say? He is the best gecko a girl could ask for :-) We have breeding plans for him set up for 2014 if things go as planned. He is as gorgeous as ever and as friendly as ever.

Charlotte- We decided to rename Lizzie. Charlotte just fits her better. She is still as adventurous as ever. She doesn't like to sit still long enough to take pictures but when she does sit still, she poses! We figured out she doesn't like small spaces. I am hoping to POSSIBLY breed her next season.

Roya- My little brat! I am still hoping that this one turns out to be a girl. She is super active and is getting better about handling. I don't have any new pics of her, but I will be hopefully getting some soon!

Introducing Lizzie!!

Let's all give a nice warm welcome to the newest addition to my crested gecko family!! I think we might rename her at some point...

She is such a sweet heart. And she looks gorgeous fired up. Her pictures do not do her justice!!


















Weighed her. She weighs 27 grams. Hopefully will be ready for next season :-)

This Friday I will be having a new gecko to welcome to the family. Her name is Lizzie!!! I don't know much about her so keep out an eye for her post on Friday! Plenty of pictures, and maybe a photo shoot with Unnamed :-) I am trying to not make future plans for her until I see her but it's hard!

Roya

My beautiful little Roya. Mommies dream come true. Me and Roya have some things we need to work on.




My crazy little Roya. She currently doesn't seem to like me too much. I am going to be working with her like crazy. She likes to run away when I try to coax her out. Unfortunately, I don't know much about how much interaction she got from her previous owners. I am suspecting it wasn't much. I am hoping to change that. I want her to love to come out. I know that geckos aren't normally pets that love to be held, but my big boy loves to come out. Either way, Roya is still a tiny baby (I have no idea how old). She has a long way to go.

Still praying Roya turns out to be a girl :-)


UPDATE!!

This morning I worked with Roya for a short period of time. She climbed out of her cage but was a little skittish of climbing onto my hand. After a little coaxing (putting my hand in front of her and lifting to encourage climbing up) she climbed up. I could tell she wasn't too comfortable, hence keeping the session fairly short. I worked on hand walking with her and allowed her to jump from hand to hand. Once working with her for a bit, she calmed down a bit but kept on the move. I can tell that she will make a great girl.

I am hoping her color keeps the orange tone and hoping she will darken a bit more. We shall see!!

I want to get her bigger and more comfortable with me before looking for pores. Plus I have no idea of the weight on her yet. Looking into buying a scale ASAP :-)

Naming Issue

I cannot for the life of me decide what to name my big boy... I am debating between 4 names. Ugh!!! I have no idea....

My 2 New Babies!

I went to the Puyallup Expo with the mind set to pick up one gecko (since I was possibly getting a female from a friend). Then as we made one last trip around the place, I decided to glance through this ladies baby cresties, and I fell in love with my little one. I am still debating about what to name them!! I have no clue lol Anyway, here they are!

Reptile Show

I didn't get as many photos as I wanted to. I was too busy looking at everything!! Here are all the photos I did get though!!

Tomorrow!!!!!

I can't believe it's finally here!!! The reptile show is tomorrow :-) I am busy trying to get ready for tomorrow. Getting everything set up now, and I will be clearing out my phone so I can take plenty of pics and videos! I seriously can't believe that as of tomorrow I will be a crested gecko owner... It honestly doesn't feel real right now. It probably wont hit me till I'm at the expo lol

As of tomorrow I begin my descent into becoming that crazy reptile lady :-)

Yes I am counting down the days. I can't believe it is coming that quick!! I have so much more I need to do first!

Random Thoughts

I can't wait for next weekend..!!! I know I can't stop talking about it, but it feels like Christmas lol (kid at heart much?)

 I like reptiles and dogs more than any other type of animal. Don't get me wrong, I love all animals. Dogs and reptiles just happen to have a special place in my heart <3 I have a betta and it's not the same. I need my reptiles :-( I can't wait to get my reptile room. Hopefully with in less than two years lol.

Most likely tonight I will be bringing home my first round of supplies!! I am going to try to see how much I can get at the reptile expo for cheaper, but I get a discount at my work lol 

Breeding

I have been looking at posts on Pangea and it is making me really want to breed cresties. All the babies are so cute! If only I had the room to do it!! Plus I would rather get more experience under my belt before breeding. But I do know that breeding is definitely in the future for me :-)

Or if anyone in Washington state near Tacoma would be interested in pairing up with me, I would be willing to breed with help :) Just let me know! Maybe we could even check out the stock at the Puyallup reptile show together and figure out breeding projects... Just a few ideas!

My (Future) Reptile "Room"

It is well known that my dream is to one day have my own reptile room, or maybe even a reptile "garage" lol I found these awesome images online that I wanted to share! I would love to have something like a combination of these two!

My Journey

THIS IS A NEW BLOG. I JUST STARTED IT AND DON'T HAVE TIME TO GET IT UP AND RUNNING SINCE I HAVE TO GET READY FOR WORK. I'LL HAVE IT DONE AS SOON AS I CAN :-)

Hey everyone!! Just thought I'd do a basic first post for now, and then I'll go into more later. I started this blog because I wanted to document my journey with reptiles. My dream is to one day have my own "reptile room" and possibly raise and breed different reptiles. So I thought I would document it. I especially wanted to create this before the next reptile show which is in 11 days!!!

I will be going to the reptile show on the second day and I am planning to make a video out of it. If there is anything in particular that you would like to see in the video, post it in the comments below before October 13th!!

I will post a background story on my start in the reptile world later and we shall just go from there!
